Blondie is a New Wave / rock band, in 1974 by Deborah Harry (previously in Wind in the Willows) and Chris Stein (of stilettos) in New York was founded.
Her first single, X-Offender, appeared quite unsuccessfully 1976th The breakthrough of the band was only 1978, with Denis, a number-2-hit in Britain and internationally since 1979 with the pop hit Heart of Glass (number 1 in the U.S., Britain and Germany). Although singer and figurehead Debbie Harry with her wild and excessive punk gigs did everything possible to ensure that as Blondie punk band was called, the group was still a idol of the New Wave era.
